Directors and Team
Cozens Regan Group is fortunate to have a high level of experience in its staff which currently numbers a total of seventeen (17) employees, comprised of nine (9) engineers (four Directors), two (2) designers, three (3) draftspersons and three (3) administration staff.
For the purposes of documentation, the company uses AutoCad & Revit as base programs for drafting and Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat for other communicative documentation. For Civil design and documentation, the following programs are used: Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, Vehicle Tracking, Drains, MUSIC and HECRAS.
We use a range of programs to facilitate our structural design projects such as: SpaceGass, the Inducta Suite of finite element analysis programs which include RCB, SLB, PTD, RCC & FTG. We also use RAPT, Ram Concept and Hyne Design.
We are confident that the staff utilised on any project will provide a breadth of innovation, design economy and review that would be difficult to match.

John Williams joined the staff of Cozens.Regan.Group in 1994 having previously spent five years with Ian Hill and Associates, Consulting Engineers on the Tweed Coast. John was appointed as a Director to the firm in September 1997.
Projects John has been in charge of during his time with Cozens.Regan.Group include major land subdivision (including multiple sewer pump station network), group title development, arterial road design for development frontages including reconstruction, access and egress design to Queensland Transport approval.
Field experience has been obtained during construction phase inspection of these projects. John also has experience in the design of three storey units, industrial and commercial structures using tilt-up, blockwork and steel frame building techniques as well as domestic projects.
B D Wellauer

Brett Wellauer joined the staff of Cozens.Regan.Group in 1999 as a structural design engineer. Previous to this, Brett was developing his career at Weathered Howe Pty Ltd over a 10 year period. During this time as a structural draftsperson, he completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering to become a structural engineer at the company. July 2010 saw Brett appointed as a Director within Cozens.Regan.Group.
The above range of projects has provided skills and knowledge from concept planning through design and onto construction review.
During Brett’s time as an engineer and draftsperson, he has developed an understanding for the importance of detail and communication to ensure a project becomes all it is expected to be.

Adam Gibbons joined Cozens.Regan.Group in October 2000 as a structural design engineer. Previous to his appointment at Cozens.Regan.Group, Adam held a position at Weathered Howe Gold Coast as a structural design engineer for 3 years.
Adam holds a civil engineering degree and has over 20 years design experience in the construction industry. Adam is also a member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.
Adam has worked on numerous projects throughout South East Qld and the North East Coast of NSW. Projects include both commercial and residential, low-medium rise (up to 12 storeys) and industrial complexes.
Adam has strong design and analytical skills in the areas of reinforced concrete, structural timber and structural steel.
T W Nelson

Tristan Nelson joined the staff of Cozens.Regan.Group as a civil engineer in early 2013. Previous to this Tristan spent 6 years with Project Services part of the former Department of Public Works Qld. Tristan was appointed as a Director to the firm in July 2019.
The projects Tristan is primarily exposed to consist of commercial developments,
residential subdivisions, ‘townhouse’ and ‘multi unit’ residential developments.
Tristan is typically engaged for the full life of a project including planning, detailed design and construction supervision.
The Civil Engineering design aspects of which Tristan’s abilities are strong consists mainly of the following: Earthworks, roadworks, carparking, stormwater drainage, stormwater quality and quantity management, sewer reticulation and connections, water supply and connections, stormwater management plans, engineering service reports and hydraulic flooding assessments.
